Airspace Releases Catchy Single “Marillion"

Author: Aiden James

Imagine this: you’re standing in the parking lot of your high school. You’ve just made some unlikely friends. You’re still angry at the world but you’re a little less angry. A girl places a diamond earring in the palm of your hand and you smile. She rides off into the sunset in her dad’s BMW and you’re walking through the football field, wondering what classic 80s pop song will play you into the ending credits. You’re expecting Simple Plan to chime in with “Don’t You (Forget About Me)", but instead you hear a chorus of beautiful harmonies and a voice that sounds like a mash-up of Bono and Annie Lennox. This song doesn’t sound out of place. It feels exactly correct. You thrust your fist in the air with excitement.

The new single “Marillion” by Airspace will make you feel like you’re standing in the parking lot of The Breakfast Club after having an unexpectedly joyful day. With a beautiful choir harmonizing in the background, a strong chorus that’s reminiscent of classic 80s pop, and lyrics like “heal my wounds and tape my cuts” you can 80s pop from the comfort of your home in 2020! The confidence of this group rings out throughout the song. It’s hard to stay sitting or keep yourself from jammin’ while Marillion is playing.

This amazing new single was a pleasant surprise and a delightful add to my music library.

Be sure to give “Marillion” a listen, out now on all popular streaming platforms!
