With all the indie and alternative themed music flooding the market in this day and age, it’s easy for one to pass on a smaller group such as PA based band Food Truck. However, you’d have to be crazy to ignore the contribution they have recently made to the music scene. Even from hearing a short 10 second snippet from their newest (and first ever) released EP Dog, it’s clear to see they’re doing things differently.

Food Trucks’ debut EP Dog was released June 7, 2019. All tracks on the album fill listeners with end-of-summer like euphoria. It’s certainly for fans of Mom Jeans, McCafferty, and other indie rock groups with uplifting instrumentals and moderately downer lyrics. The first off of the latest release titled “Saturday” has just recently gotten a music video. What’s most impressive about this? It was done on a zero dollar budget. Despite this, the video is of excellent quality with impeccable mood-lifting visuals. Just like their vibrantly colored logo suggests, the band’s first official music video features contrasting bright bursts against tan fields for even greater engagement in the content.

“We’re Food Truck, a 3 piece Indie/Alternative band from Allentown PA, (outside Philly). We recently put out a music video for a song called “Saturday” off our latest EP called ‘Dog’. The song is about missing someone far away and then the feeling that comes when you are finally able to see them again.”

With how intriguing the results of a band like Food Truck are, it makes you wonder what the writing process is for a band like them. Certainly must be unusual, huh? Not entirely. More like tossing around thoughts with your constructive best buds.

“Our song writing process usually starts with a riff or chord progression, and every band member starts to build up the different parts and flesh out new ideas.” Food Truck commented.

Both their channel, music, and latest video are 100% worth checking out, as you’ll surely find yourself wanting more than the five songs currently out. And if you’re in the Philly area, be sure to stop by a show or two of theirs and tell em’ we sent you!
